Darchula, Nepal: Nepali Congress’s mayoral and deputy mayoral candidates have won the elections in Mahakali Municipality in the district.
Mayoral candidate Hansa Raj Bhatta won the elections with 4,042 votes while his closest rival of CPN-UML’s candidate Nar Singh Chaisir received just 3,580 votes.
Likewise, deputy mayoral candidate Suna Bohara of the Nepali Congress won the elections with 4,127 votes while his closest rival of UML’s candidate Durga Dhami got just 3, 040 votes .
Nepali Congress’s candidates of all the wards of the municipality have also won the elections.
