Kathmandu, Nepal, May 8, 2020: Nepali Congress (NC) president Sher Bahadur Deuba, the leader of the main opposition party, has come heavily against of the incumbent Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chairperson KP Sharma Oli led government even alleging it of losing all moral as well as political ground to rule the nation.
Speaking on the first day of the budget session of the federal parliament at the House of Representatives on Friday, NC president Deuba slammed the government for failing in different front from corruption control to corona virus control.
This government has not only lost the moral ground but also loss the political grounds as well to rule the country as it was found to have indulged in corruption, anti-constitutional and anti- democratic activities by going against the democratic norms and values of the constitution, Deba said.
It’s my regret to say here that the government involved in kidnapping a parliamentarian,’ Deuba said ‘the government seems to have involved in anti-constitutional and criminal activities at a time when the people have faced hardships due to the corona virus pandemic.’
During his address Deuba even challenged that his party would not tolerate such acts and activities of the government. However, he did not elaborate about the future activities of his party to correct the government in the capacity of the main opposition party.
During his address, NC president Deuba termed the controversial ordinances related to the Political Party Act and the Constitutional Council Act as anti constitutional and anti democratic move of the government.
‘Though the government is moving forward with the ill-intention, we have not come up with the program to trouble the government due to the necessary of united fright against of the corona virus, Deuba said urging the government to intensify activities against of the spreading corona virus.
