Kathmandu, Nepal, January 30, 2020: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged one and all to materialize martyrs’ dream by protecting the nation and democracy.
Issuing a message on the occasion of the Martyrs Day on Thursday, NC president Deuba, who is also the fourth time Prime Minister of the country, also urged one and all to forget the minor differences for the greater benefit of the nation and democracy.
The Martyrs Day would encourage all sides to fulfill national responsibility and to change Nepal in a beautiful, peaceful and prosperous nation as the martyrs had sacrificed their lives with the belief that Nepal will be beautiful, peaceful and prosperous nation only from strong democracy, reads the message.
Acknowledging the sacrifice made by the martyrs for the sake of democracy against of the Rana tyranny, Nepal used to observe Martyrs Day on Magh 16 (January 30) to pay homage to all the known and unknown Martyrs who had sacrificed their lives for the country.
