Sindhuli, Nepal, March 23: Nepali Congress’s senior leader Ramchandra Poudel has accused the incumbent government of jeopardizing the democratic values and culture of consensual politics.
The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led incumbent government has been attempting to centralize power not putting democracy at risk, Nepali Congress senior leader Poudel said.
The government seems full of arrogant due to the majority strength in the parliament, Poudel accused while peaking at a press meet organised by the Nepal Press Union (NPU), Sindhuli on Saturday.
Addressing to the function, Poudel also accused the government trying to own the rights of big projects, military power and judicial bodies. Such an act and activities of the government has pushed democracy towards a risk, he said.
