Kathmandu, Nepal, September 6, 2022: The 'K1 World Grand Prix 2022' kick boxing competition going to be held at the Arena Center in Yokohama, Japan, on September 11. 

Nepali young boxer Abiral Ghimire, 22, who has already reached the semi-finals, is also participating in the match and going to face Thai boxer Jomthong Chuwattana for a place in the final in the 70 kg super welterweight category.

Nepali young boxer Ghimire, who is also known as the 'Himalayan Leopard', will be able to reach the final for the title of 'K1 World GP Champion' if he wins the Thai boxer Jomthong on coming Sunday. Japan's world champion boxer Wajima Hiromi has already reached the final. 

Ghimire is the son of professional Nepali kickboxer Dev Ghimire, the first South Asian player to play in the K1 tournament in 2004. Currently Ghimire has been living with his father in Nagoya, Japan for the past five years. He is a permanent resident of Gurjudhara in Chandragiri Municipality-12, Kathmandu.
