Kathmandu, Nepal, September 04, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus infection tally has reached to 44236 after 1354 new cases registered in the past 24 hours.
Jagshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population) said while speaking during a regular virtual media briefing on Friday that among the newly infected cases, 464 were females while 895 males.
Of the newly recorded coronavirus infection cases 454 persons were from Kathmandu valley alone. The new records indicate that the coronavirus infection cases are increasing in the country since few days.
According to spokesperson Gautam, 1354 new cases were registered while conducting 13,638 PCR tests at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours.
Likewise, 1,354 patients who were undergoing treatment for the coronavirus have recovered in the past 24 hours. With the new addition, Nepal’s coronavirus recovery toll stands at 25,561, spokesperson Gautam said during the press briefing.
Similalry, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has reached to 271 after 14 fatalities recorded in the past 24 hours. According to MoHP spokesperson Gautam, among the 14 fatalities, 10 were males while four females.
