Kathmandu, Nepal, December 9, 2021: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the Prime Minister, has said that he will select the new leadership of the party by consensus.
“New leadership of the party will be selected by consensus at the party's 14th General Convention to the extent possible,” Prime Minister Deuba said while releasing a book titled 'Nepali Congress and Nation Building' written by the party's joint general secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Deuba has said so at the time when the NC is going to select the new leadership for the next term.
Various candidates are vying in the election for the different posts even dividing into different panel.
Though several leaders have shown interest to vie in the post of party president, two panels- one led by party’s senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and another led by Deuba himself are in the helm.
