Kathmandu, Nepal, August 25, 2020: Expressing serious concern over the incidents related to the misbehave against of the medical persons including the doctors, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), the constitutional right watch body of the country, has asked the government to book those involved in the recent misbehaving act with the frontline medical personnel dedicated to the control and prevention of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Issuing a press statement on Monday, the NHRC has also urged the government to ensure the environment conducive for the treatment of COVID-19 patients and the safety of the medical persons. 

As the acts like misbehaving the frontline medical persons including the doctors directly affect professional’s morale and dignity, the government should assure not to repeat again such the acts, states the press release issued in the sign of NHRC Secretary Bed Prasad Bhattarai.

The NHRC has also asked the local administration to book the culprits who misbehave the medical persons by breaching the laws of the country. The entire citizen should abide by the citizen’s duty by extending support to the health workers during the time of heath crisis posed due to the spread of coronavirus, states the press release.
