Kathmandu, Nepal: Nomination of candidates is being held enthusiastically in 334 local units of Province 1, 5 and 7 on Sunday for the second phase of local level elections scheduled for June 28.
Though the second phase of elections is being held amid the protest of the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N), the united form of different six Madhes based parties, nominations is held sans of violence even in the RJPN’s influenced areas.

As per the EC’s scheduled election program, candidates are filing their nomination from 8am, which will last at 4pm today. 15,038 local representatives will be elected from the Provinces 1, 5 and 7 on June 28.
