Kathmandu, Nepal: Lawmaker Prem Suwal has said that Prime Ministers would have involved in the gold smuggling cases in Nepal including the recent one 33.5 kg gold scam case.
Speaking at the Federal Parliament on Thursday, Suwal, who is also a senior leader of the Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party (NWPP), smelt a rat of the high profile politicians’ involvement in the smuggling of gold in Nepal.
While casting hid doubt about the high profile involvement in the scam, he referred to the information disseminated in different social media and the statements made public by the alleged persons.
Whether Prime Minster himself has a hand behind the gold smuggling as the arrested persons on the charge of their alleged involvement in the scam have said that big fish are not netted yet, he said.
Who is the big fish as some of the arrested persons have been saying that they are small fish, he questioned adding a doubt that only those with low profile and less powerful people would have netted in connection with the gold scam so far.
