Kathmandu, Nepal, February 2, 2023: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) demanding arrest of cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane changing the order of the Patan High Court on Thursday.
The office of the Attorney General has filed the writ petition on behalf of the Government of Nepal demanding that the case filed against Lamichhane should be moved forward by keeping him in police custody.
Cricketer Lamichhane was released from the Patan High Court order to release him on a bail amounting of Rs 2 million with some conditions. He was arrested after the allegation of raping a minor girl.
