Kathmandu, Nepal, February 22, 2022:CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has accused the government and its allies, particularly the CPN (Maoist Center) and the CPN (United Socialist) for playing double slandered role over the ratification of US-funded Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement from the parliament.
Speaking at a program organized at Kathmandu on Monday, Oli said ‘the ruling allies have shown their double slandered as well as the low standard role by protesting the MCC in the street even after taking decision to table in the parliament for the ratification.
Why are you revolutionaries sending party cadres to pelt stones in the pretext of protesting the MCC by damaging the construction and targeting to the police personnel, Oli asked the question pointing finger to the Maoist Center and the United Socialist.
I telephoned the Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand today asking why the police personnel were not given any orders to retaliate even after they were pelted with stones and beaten by the protestors of some ruling allies, he said.
Come coalition have been deploying their cadres on the streets to attack police personnel and ordering the police not to retaliate against the protestors, former Prime Minister Oli said even alleging the ruling coalition of hatching a conspiracy while tabling the MCC.
