Kathmandu, Nepal, January 23, 2022: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has appointed Min Bahadur Shrestha as the vice-chairperson of the National Planning Commission (NPC).
Following the appointment, Prime Minister Dahal, who is also the chairperson of the NPC, administered the oath of office and secrecy amid a function on Monday.
The post of NPC vice chairperson had been remaining vacant after Biswo Poudel resigned from the post. Poudel was appointed by the immediate past Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Shrestha, who is also a former executive director of the Nepal Rastra Bank, had also led the NPC during Dahal’s previous term as Prime Minister.
