Kathmandu, Nepal, January 09, 2022: Newly appointed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is going to face a vote of confidence in parliament today, on Tuesday.
Dahal-led government is all set to secure the vote of confidence in the Parliament with more than required votes. However, the vote of confidence proposal registered in the parliament will be settled through the voting process.
Not only the ruling partners of the incumbent government but also the other parties including the CPN (United Socialist) has decided to cast votes in favor of vote of confidence to the government.
The 68-year-old CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Dahal was appointed in the post of Prime Minister on December 25 last year. He was sworn in as the 44th Prime Minister of the country on December 26.
He had staked the claim for the post in the backing of 166 members of the House of Representatives (HoR) belonging to seven parties including his own and three other independent members in the 275-member HoR.
