Kathmandu, Nepal, March 21, 2023: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has initiated discussions with ruling coalition partners to give full shape to his cabinet after he received the vote of confidence from the House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday.
It is said that Nepali Congress, CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Janamat Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party would be incorporated in the government.
Though informal discusses were already held with the parties regarding the expansion of cabinet, formal discussion to give the full shape of the government will be initiated from Tuesday, a Maoist Center leaders said.
Talking to media persons after securing vote of confidence from the parliament, Prime Minister Dahal said that he will initiate talks with the parties that supported him to give full shape to the cabinet from Tuesday. He had a saying that he would expand the cabinet within four days by holding discussions with the parties that supported him while taking vote of confident from the HoR).
Currently, Prime Minister Dahal heads a seven-member cabinet including a state minister. No ministers are included from the new coalition partners after the ministers belonging to CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party decided to quit the government.
