Kathmandu, Nepal, December 2, 2020: Police have arrested Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ramchandra Poudel from his home town, Tanahu, on Wednesday.
Police arrested Paudel while he had reached there at Tanahu to inaugurate Buldi Khola Bridge constructed recently by Byas Municipality.
As the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) had protested the plan to inaugurate the bridge from the NC senior leader Poudel, the local authorities instructed the police avert the inauguration plan in the pretext of controlling the untoward confrontation.
Local leaders and cadres of the Nepali Congress including Acting President of NC District Committee, Tanahu Jit Prakash Ale have also been arrested along with the NC senior leader Poudel.
