Kathmandu, Nepal: Following the understanding between the Election Commission (EC) and the major political parties- Nepali Congress, CPN UML and the PCN Maoist Center to conduct the provincial and parliamentary elections on the same day, by November 23, the government has been preparing to announce the polls date.
As part of preparations, the government allies have intensified discussions with other political parties present in the parliament to fix the date for the elections.
Reliable source close to the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said that the polls date will be announced by coming Sunday.
