Kathmandu, Nepal, November 4, 2022: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is going to embark an official visit to the Republic of Iceland from November 7.
According to a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), she is going to the Iceland to take part in the meeting of the Women Political Leaders (WPL), a worldwide network of female politicians, which is going to be held from November 9 to 12.
The President Bhandari is leaving for the Iceland leading a 18-member Nepalese delegation that includes Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal and others from the concerned ministries including the officials at the Sitalniwas.
It is said that President Bhandari will receive 'Women Political Trailblazer Award' during the meeting. During her stay there in Iceland, she is scheduled to attend some official events organized to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Nepal and Iceland.
