Kathmandu, Nepal, December 28, 2021:Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is leaving for India at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on January 9 to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit-2022 (VG2022), which is scheduled to hold on January 10-12 at Gandhinagar, Gujarat of India.  The VG2022 is a biennial event that began in the year 2003.

t is said that Prime Minister Deuba will hold discussions with Indian Prime Minister Modi at the sideline of the meeting. However, detailed itinerary regarding the visit including the issue and agendas of the meeting have not been made public yet officially. 

During the meeting held at the sideline of the Glasgow climate summit last month in UK, both the prime ministers had issued invitations to each others to visit. It is also said that Indian Prime Minister Modi is also willing to visit Nepal soon. 
 
It is said that Prime Minister Deuba would meet with some other senior Indian leaders in addition to PM Modi. The proposed visit of Prime Minister Deuba will be a first visit to India and second foreign trip after he assumed the post of Premier.
