Kathmandu, Nepal, February 5, 2020: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has not only claimed the legitimacy of the party of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to his led faction but also expressed commitment to adhere the recent political system enshrined by the constitution of Nepal. 

Prime Minister Oli has claimed so while addressing the nationwide gathering organized at in front of Narayenhiti Palace, the palace of dissolved monarchy, in Kathmandu on Friday. 

There was a widespread speculation that Prime Minister Oli might make an announcement regarding the fate of secularism, federalism and monarchy amid the mass gathering organized in Narayenhiti Palace. 

I am not in favor of reinstating monarchy in the country as rumored in the market, Oli said in the function. 

As the political forces that have been advocating reinstating the dissolved monarchy have stand in favor of the midterm elections declared by the incumbent government, it was widely speculated that Prime Minister Oli would throw the card of referendum to decide the fate of the secularism, federalism and monarchy.
