Kathmandu, Nepal: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that unification between the CPN UML and the CPN Maoist Center would be announced soon after his upcoming India visit. 

Prime Minister Oli is going to embark an official visit to India from April 6 to 8 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. As the CPN Maoist Center has been exerting pressure to conclude the unity process it was said earlier that unity process will be ended before Oli’s visit to India.
  
Since the unification between the two parties will take place with no further delay with the goal of establishing prosperity through the socialist-oriented economy, the issue of unity before or after the India visit should not be dragged into controversy, Prime Minister Oli, who is also the chairman of the CPN UML said. Neither we have hasted nor intended to lengthen the unity process, which will come at a appropriate time, he said.   

The statement of Oli has come at the time when there is a rumor that the possibility of unity between the two parties was backtracked for now after CPN Maoist Center Chairman Dahal demanded 50 percent stake in the united party. 

There are also numerous media reports that not only the issue of division of power or share of the parties but also the issues of ideology, election symbol and others have also been hampering the unity process between the two parties.    
 
Speaking at a program organized by the party to present the Madan Bhandari National Journalism Award at the party central office, Dhumrabarahi on Monday, Prime Minister Oli also reiterated the commitment of materializing the unity process stating that no force in and out of the country can stop the unity between the two parties. 

Prime Minister Oli also claimed that the country will be move ahead with the aim of upgrading the country to a developing nation in the next three years. Employment opportunities will be available in the country through proper utilization of domestic capital as well as by attracting foreign investments, he said. 

During the function journalist and writer Kamal Koirala was awarded with the award carrying a purse of Rs 50,555.  According to the UML Prabashi Manch Nepal, Qatar has set up a revolving fund of Rs 1 million for the award. Receiving the award, Koirala had announced to handover the award money to the family of late journalist Birendra Saha.
