Kathmandu, Nepal, December 1, 2020: Hundreds of thousand people joined a protest rally in Kathmandu on Monday demanding restoration of monarchy in the country. The protest rally was organized under the banner of several pro-royal organizations including the Valley Mobilization Committee of the Rastriya Shakti Nepal and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).  

Many youths to elderly people from different walks of life seems to have joined the rally to demand the restoration of dissolved monarchy.  It is said that Monday’s protest rally in Kathmandu valley was continuation of the protest rally organized in other different cities including Pokhara, Birgung and many others. 

Some participants of the strike were present with cultural attire and musical instruments and many others were holding the national flag linking the strike into nationality. Likewise, many others were displaying photos of late Prithivi Narayan Shah, the first king of modern Nepal, and former king Gyanendra Shah and queen Komal Shah.
