Kathmandu, Nepal: The Ram Nawami, the festival that used to celebrate with the belief of birthday of God Ram, is being celebrated across the country today.
Hundreds of thousand devotees have thronged in the temples of Lord Ram to perform pooja on the occasion of this festival.
The Lord Ram, considered the seventh incarnation of God Bisnhu, was born to the then King of Ayodhya, Dashrath and his first queen Kaushalyawati.
As per the Hindu mythology, the God Ram had triumphed over Ravana, the then King of Lanka, and established peace and harmony in the society.
