Kathmandu, Nepal, June 20, 2021: ongoing restriction imposed in Kathmandu valley owing to contain the spread of coronavirus has been extended by a week.
A meeting of the Chief District Officers (CDOs) in Kathmandu valley- Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts, held on Sunday afternoon decided to extend the ongoing prohibitory order by July 28.
However, the meeting has decided to relax on the ongoing restriction. As per the new provision made regarding the implementation of the prohibitory order, private vehicles are allowed to operate on odd and even basis.
Likewise, shops are also allowed to operate at the designated days from 11 am till 4 pm only. As per the decision, jewelry, automobile, electronics and home appliances related shops are allowed to operate on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday while shopping malls, and other clothes, tailoring, shoes /sports, and cosmetics/gifts/ boutiques related shops are allowed to operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
