Kathmandu, Nepal, July 28, 2020: Rastriya Prajatantra Party, (RPP), which claims itself as the alternative democratic force of the country has faced massive landslide after it’s an influential leader Sunil Bahadur Thapa and his associates left the party to join the Nepali Congress, (NC), the grand old democratic party of the country.
Thapa is going to join the Nepali Congress along with his allies and supporters amid a function, likely on Tuesday, at party’s central office, Sanepa. It is said that Thapa will be appointed as a Joint General Secretary and other three leaders as the central committee members of the NC.
However, Thapa’s demanded to include at least 13 leaders in the central committee has complicated the process to reach the unity process into a logical conclusion, claims a source, close to the Nepal Congress’s central office.
