Kathmandu, Nepal, April 15, 2020: Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) conducted on 298 persons residing in Sun City Apartment in Pepsicola town planning, Kathmandu have tested negative for COVID-19.

According to Bikash Devkota, the Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, testing of the swab samples of the people living at the apartment has come negative.

As two members of the same family living at the apartment had tested positive for COVID-19 On Tuesday, the government had been intensifying the test of the deadly virus.  It is said that about five hundred people have been residing at the apartment now.  

81-year-old mother and 58-year-old son had tested positive for COVID-19 while the 52-year-old wife of the man had tested negative for COVID-19. 

All the three members of the family were taken to Patan Hospital after testing positive for the new corona virus through the RDT method. 

The ministry has said that the condition of both mother and son, who were tested positive, are normal in condition.  

Three members of the family had arrived in Nepal via a Qatar Airways flight on March 18.
