Kathmandu, Nepal, September 1, 2021: The Supreme Court (SC) the Apex Court of the country, decided to acquit former Chief Justices-- Min Bahadur Rayamajhi, Anup Raj Sharma, Kalyan Shrestha and Sushila Karki in a contempt of court case.
Hearing over the writ petition filed against four former a division bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR and Justice Sapna Pradhan Malla passed the verdict on Friday.
Advocates Dhanjit Basnet and Lochan Bhattarai had filed a contempt of court case against four former chief justices on January 27, 2020 over the issue of the statement issued against the government’s decision dissolve the House of Representatives (HoR).
