Kathmandu, Nepal, May 25, 2021: The Supreme Court (SC), the Apex Court of the country, has scheduled the preliminary hearing on the writ petitions filed against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) on May 27 and May 28.
It is said that the general bench of the SC will conduct the hearing on the writ filed demanding reinstatement of the parliament.
About two dozen writ petitions were register at the SC on Wednesday against of the government’s decision to dissolve the HoR.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari had dissolved on Friday dissolved the HoR and announced midterm elections for November 12 and November 19 at the recommendation of Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli.
