Rajbiraj, Saptari, Nepal: Considering to the potential clash between the cadres of the CPN UML and the cadres of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF), security has been beefed up in the district.
As cadres of the UDMF staged a torch and stick rally on Sunday evening at Rajbiraj, the district headquarter of Saptari district, targeting to disturb the UML’s Mechi-Mahakali campaign and mass meeting scheduled for Monday, the local administration has mobilized security personnel to prevent the potential clash.
UDMF’s Saptari coordinator Dinesh Kumar Yadav has openly been claiming that more than 10,000 cadres will come to the streets on Monday to prevent the UML’s function.
Considering to the possible clash, the UML has changed the venue of mass meeting and the route of Mechi-Mahakali.
Earlier the UML had scheduled the mass meeting at the Raj Stadium in Rajbiraj but now the mass meeting has been scheduled at the Maleth VDC-based industrial area.
