Kathmandu, Nepal, June 4, 2022: An Indian national, who was working at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu as a security guard has found dead on Monday. 

The deceased have been identified as 32-year-old Deepak Singh, who was a permanent resident of Uttarakhand in India. 

According to the embassy, he allegedly killed himself with his service rifle at around 9 am while he was on duty at the embassy premise. 

Why the person took the step is unknown. The Indian Embassy has said that it has conducted an internal investigation of the incident.

Earlier in January, 2005, two security guards were killed and another one injured in an ‘accidental firing on the Indian embassy premises.
