Kathmandu, Nepal, May 24, 2022: The amateur team of pro Purna Sharma that includes Mahendra Phagami, Samir Acharya and Kashmira Shah clinched the Surya Nepal Premier Golf Championship Pro-Am.
In the match played at the par-72 Gokarna Golf Club on Sunday, the team had scored 153 points. Sharma alone had earned 44 points while Phagami, Acharya and Shah earned 38 points, 36 and 35 points respectively.
Another team that comprises pro Sanjay Lama, Bikash Shah, Babu Sherpa and Pratap Bohara secured the runner up position by collecting 142 points.
Likewise, another team that comprises Rabi Khadka, Ang Dendi Sherpa, Chandra Limbu and Kishor Basnet stood in third position with 140 points.
In the championship, altogether 113 players including 24 pros took part in the Pro-Am event played under stableford 3/4 handicap format.
The winner got Rs250,000 while the runner-up got Rs 155,000. Other pros finishing within the top 21 position will also have a share in the cash prize that carries a cash prize of Rs1.461 million.
