Kathmandu, Nepal, January 30, 2020: Shree Panchami, which is also known as Basanta Panchami is being celebrated today across the country by worshipping Goddess of knowledge, wisdom, learning, art, music and culture- Saraswati.
Hindu communities used to mark the Shree Panchami festival with much more fanfare. The festival is celebrated every year on the fifth day of the bright half of the month in Magh of Nepali calendar.
During the Shree Panchami students observed as Saraswati Puja by worship of goddess of knowledge. Students used throng at various Saraswati temples to worship Saraswati goddess for her blessings.
It is used to believe that spring season begins from the Shree Panchami.
