Kathmandu, Nepal, May 6, 2020:  Standing committee meeting of the ruling head Nepal Communist Party (NCP) scheduled for Friday has been canceled, thanks to the unwillingness of prime minister KP Sharma Oli.

Though secretariat meeting was scheduled for Wednesday to fix the agendas of the standing committee meeting, it failed to do so after Oli walked out half a way stating the he was unable to sit in the meeting.

As dissident leaders demande wider discussion over the ranges of issues including the demand of one man one post, Oli left the meeting.

After that other secretariat members had also left the meeting. It is said that party chair duo Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal agreed to postpone the scheduled standing committee citing lack of preparation.
