Kathmandu, Nepal, August 16, 2021: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government has taken seriously to rescue Nepali nationals living currently in Afghanistan.

I have directed to the officials to remain updated about the situation of Nepali nationals in Afghanistan and evacuate them in case of necessity, Prime Minister Deuba has stated through his twitter handle on Monday. 

Prime Minister Deub has made the directive at the time when social media are abuzz over the fate of the Nepalese nationals living in Afghanistan.  As the Taliban has gained control in Afghanistan, most of the countries in the world have been rescuing their citizens.

Meanwhile, the government has asked all Nepali nationals living in Afghanistan to come to the contact of the government. Those seeking rescue flights can contact 977-9749326458 and 977-9749326459, the phone number of the Department of Consular Service and (Ministry of Foreign Affairs respectively.
