Kathmandu, Nepal November 17, 2019: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has claimed that the government will make its efforts to retrieve its encroached land.
‘The government is capable enough to safeguard the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty,’ Prime Minister Oli said on Sunday while addressing the first meeting of the National Youth Association (NYA), the youth wing of his led Nepal Communist Party (NCP).
‘The government is all committed to protecting every inch of Nepali territory,’ Prime Minister Oli said even urging the southern neighbor India to recall its troops from Kalapani of Darchila district. However, he did not mention even a single thing that the government has made efforts to retrieve the encroached lands by the neighboring India.
Prime Minister Oli has made the statement in the mean time when the people in general have been raising question marks over the performance and attitude of the government and its head NCP towards the issue of border encroachment.
Though India had unveiled its new political map placing Nepali territory, Kalapani, inside Indian borders about two weeks ago, the government has done nothing from the political and diplomatic level to correct the map except issuing statements.
