Guwahati, August 4: Poachers killed another one horned rhinoceros in Assam's Kaziranga National Park (KNP) on Wednesday night and managed to flee with its horn.
Poachers killed three rhinos in past 24 hours in the World Heritage Site.
On Thursday morning, forest guards of the park had found the dehorned carcass of a male rhino inside the park.
Kaziranga had lost 25 rhinos in this year so far.
In the recent flood, at least 14 rhinos were died in the park.
On the other hand, the state forest minister urged to the state government to deploy army in KNP and to launch intensive operation against the poachers.
'There have lack of infrastructure in the World Heritage Site and shortage of manpower to protect wild animals. I have discussed for various issues with the Chief Minister,â€Â state forest minister Pramila Rani Brahma said.
