Kathmandu, Nepal, October 19, 2021: Two earthquakes measuring 4.7 magnitudes on the Richter scale hit Sindhupalchowk district of eastern Nepal on Monday.

According to the National Seismological Research Centre, the first quake was felt at 1:46 pm and next rightly after 10 minutes. 

The epicenter of both the earthquakes was traced at Panphung area of the district that locates about 114 km east from Kathmandu.

Though no damage is reported yet by the tremors, people of the region felt terror of earthquake. The trembles were felt in Kathmandu valley and surrounding areas as well. 

Earlier on Sunday, an earthquake had hit the Gorkha district as well. The earthquake came in Gorkha district was measured 4.3 Richter scale.

The two earthquakes including the Sunday’s one are believed as the aftershocks of the Gorkha earthquake occurred in 2015. 

The devastating Gorkha earthquake of 7.8 magnitudes had killed at least 9,000 people and wounding nearly 22,000 others. It had also damaged over 800,000 houses and school buildings as well.
