Kathmandu, Nepal, January 6, 2022: Police have arrested two Indian nationals from Kanchanpur on Friday as part of recent course of investigation into the rape and murder of 13-year-old girl Nirmala Panta.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) of Nepal Police has confirmed the arrest of two Indian nationals from Kanchanpur for investigation on the charge of raping and murdering the school going teen age girl.
It is said that DNA test of the two arrested persons will be carried out to precede the investigation.
A team of CIB is currently in Kanchanpur to investigate the case. Following a directive of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHP), a committee was formed under the leadership of Durga Singh, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the CIB, to investigate the case.
