Kathmandu, Nepal, October 19, 2021: Torrential rainfall begun to come from Sunday night has created havoc in different parts of the country. 

The unseasonal rainfall has not only damaged the crops but also created troubles to travel from one place to another due to the floods and landslides. 

Most of the districts of Sudurpaschim, Lumbini, Karnali and Gandaki provinces have largely affected from the rainfalls. Paddy fields have submerged in rainwater resulting huge loss to the farmers.   

The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecasted that the rainfall would continue till Thursday. The rainfall would be accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning as well, the MFD has cautioned through its bulletin. 

According to the MFD, the impacts of the low pressure system in the Andhra Pradesh and the Odisha coastal area in India and developing westerly wind system has caused cloudy weather and rainfall in Nepal.
