Kathmandu, Nepal June 28, 2022: US Ambassador to Nepal, Randy Berry and Jr. Deputy Chief of Mission in the US Embassy in Kathmandu Manuel P Micaller have been nominated as the US’s new ambassadors to Namibia and Tajikistan respectively.


The White House has made the announcements on Monday. President Joe Biden announced his intent to nominate the following leaders to serve as key leaders in his administration, reads the statement issued by the White House.

US president Biden has already nominated Dean R Thompson as the new ambassador to Nepal to replace current US ambassador Berry.

Ambassador Berry had served the State Department, Kathmandu, New Zealand, The Netherlands, South Africa, Uganda, Bangladesh and Egypt while deputy Chief of Mission Micaller had served at the State Department, Mongolia, Tajikistana and Morocco.
