Kathmandu, Nepal: With the beginning of the monsoon of this year in Nepal, the incidents of floods and landslide have increased across the country. The landslide and floods have claimed the lives of at least 20 people and causing damage the properties of billions rupees.
At least nine persons have lost their lives in the last two days due to landslides and floods across the nation. As more four people are missing in the landslide and floods, it is feared that 13 people would have killed due to the water inducted disaster within two days.
According to the reports, two persons were killed in landslides in Kaski, three in Parbat, three in Tehrathum and one each in Pyuthan and Syangja districts, while three persons went missing in Mugu and one in Kaski districts.
According to the reports, 33 year old Shova Poudel of Pokhara-Lekhnath Metropolitan city died after landslide swept away her house early morning on Monday. Likewise, Tara Adhikari, 52 of Parsyangpakha of the metropolitan city also died after he buried in the landslide.
Likewise, Tanka Chhetry of Galyang Municipality of Syangja district died after he buried in his house on Saturday morning.
Similarly, three persons of a family died on the spot after a landslip buried their house at Mahashila Rural Municipality of Parvat district on Friday night.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as 63 year old Tirtha Mallathakuri, his 80 year old mother Bel Kumari Mallathakuri and his 55 year old wife Yam Kumari Mallathakuri.
Similarly, Lila Kumari Lamichhane, 55, of Ramja Tilahar, Parbat has been missing at Phushre Khola as we was away by the river.
In Pyuthan district, a teen age girl named Tulasa Gharti of Gaun Gaumukhi Rural Municipality died after landslip buried her house on Saturday night. Two persons of the family were rescued alive. They have been receiving treatment in serious condition.
Similarly, three persons of a family were killed and three others injured at Aangdim of Myanglung Municipality in Tehrathum district on Saturday after their house was swept away by a landslide. The deceased are identified as 50 year old Kumari Sodengba, her 9 year old daughter Preeti Sodengba and seven year old son Prem Kumar Sodengba.
According to the reports four persons at Mugamkarmarong Rural Municipality of Mugu districts have gone missing since Saturday. It is said that the missing persons would have buried in the landside or swept away by a river.
The missing persons have been indented as 34 year old Tenzen Lama, 24 year old Kunjang Lama, 14 year old Urgin Lama, and a person whose name is yet to be identified.
Likewise, at least six persons have been killed due to the landslide along the Narayenghad- Mugling road section along the east-west Prithivi highway within two weeks.
