Lalitpur, Nepal: A youth died in gun shot after Police opened fire at him at Kusunti of Lalitpur district on Monday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Prabin Khatri. Lalitpur district police has confirmed the incident.
It is claimed that Khatri was killed in retaliation of exchanging fire with Police team. However, locals have a claim that Khatri was killed in police firing but not in retaliation.
According to the Police, Khatri, 26, succumbed to bullet injuries after a team of police personnel reached the area to raid his house in suspicion of hiding illegal drugs and arms.
Khatri was declared dead at Patan Hospital as he was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
