Kathmandu, Nepal, June 11, 2020: A group of independent youths staged demonstrations against of the government across the country including in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Alleging the government of failing in every fronts of life including on the issue of cronavirus (COVID-19) controlling and management, thousands of youth have demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Though the loose network of youth has been staging protests in Kathmandu since few days, such protests were seen in different parts of the country including Pokhara, Butwal and other parts of the country.
The loose network of independent youth has vowed to intensify the protest against of the government. It is said that such a protest will be launched at Maitighar Mandala of Kathmandu on coming Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00.
The loose network of independent youth has been alleging the government for being complete failure to contain the spreading COVID-19 but managing it in a proper manner.
Likewise, the youth network has also demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister even alleging him of failing to control corruption in the country.
Raising question marks over the continuation of Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) tests, the youth network has also demand to stop it and increase the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests. Likewise, they also demanded to uplift the condition of quarantine facilities set up across the countries.
Likewise, the group of independent youth has also demanded to make transparent the expenditure made on the name of COVID-19 control and management and to return the Nepalese nationals, who are willing to return back in the country from different working destinations around the world.
As police used force to disperse the gathering of youth in Kathmandu, a brief clash was erupted during the demonstration launched in front of the official resident of Prime Minister at Baluwatar. The area remained tense after irate youths had chanted slogans against of the government and Prime Minister Oli.
