Lahore, Pakistan: American squad Wolves Esports won the PUBG Mobile Global Open Season 2 championship on Sunday in Lahore, taking home the main trophy following a tense final day played under the tournament's match-point format. Nepal's Horaa Esports fought near the top of the leaderboards all weekend, ultimately placing fourth in the overall standings.

The two-day Grand Finals featured a dramatic finish caused by the event's unique rules. Under the match-point setup, teams were required to pass a 67-point mark before becoming eligible to claim the overall title by winning a subsequent game. AK Gold Esports gathered the highest cumulative total of the tournament with 94 points, but because they could not secure a victory after hitting the threshold, they ended as the runners-up. 4K Esports claimed third place with 88 points. Wolves Esports crossed the required mark in the 11th game and then won Match 12 on Miramar to trigger the rule, securing the championship despite finishing third in total points with 86.

Horaa Esports opened the finals strongly on Saturday, taking the top spot after Day 1 with 57 points and an early match victory. They remained competitive throughout Sunday and matched Wolves' final total of 86 points. However, a late elimination by Brazilian team Influence Rage during a crucial moment on Miramar in Match 11 kept Horaa from securing the match win needed to challenge for the title, leaving the Nepalese squad in fourth place based on tiebreakers. Influence Rage placed seventh overall with 81 points after back-to-back match wins earlier in the day, while Nepal's second team, T2K Esports, was eliminated during the prior Survival Stage.
