Guwahati, Aug 5 : At least four civilians were killed and several injured when suspected terrorists firing at a market area in Assam's Kokrajhar district on Friday.
The incident took place at Balazan area in the BTAD district when at least two terrorists openly fired at the busy market, in which four persons killed and several others injured.
The terrorist group had also lobbed several grenades at the market place.
The injured persons had rushed to the nearest hospital.
Top police, army and CRPF officials had rushed to area and gun fight continued with the terrorist group.
Meanwhile a terrorist was gunned down by security forces and recovering an AK-47 rifle, ammunition, several live grenades in possession from him.
