Chitwan, Nepal: At least a person died and 18 others sustained injuries after the passenger bus they were travelling overturned in Khairahani Municipality-1 along the East-West Highway of Chitwan district on Sunday morning.
According to the police the ill-fated passenger bus with registration number Na 7 Kha 5118 that was en route from Bhairahawa to Birgunj met with the accident when it lost control and overturned beside the road at 6:45 am on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as 14-year-old Sunil Mizar of Rapti Municipality-5 in Chitwan district. Critically injured Mizar breathed his last during the course of treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.
Among the injured, five persons have reported as critical in condition. Injured passengers have been receiving treatment at local hospital.
