Kathmandu, Nepal, October 27, 2022: Bhai Tika is being observed today, the fifth day of Tihar also known as Yamapanchak across the country in Nepal and world by the Hindu community. 

According to the Nepal Calendar Determination Committee, the auspicious time for the Bhai Tika is at 11:37 am. 

On the occasion of Bhai Tika, sisters wish their brothers long life, health and wealth with respect, faith and loyalty by putting Pancharangi or Saptarangi tika.

As per age-old traditions, sisters put tika on their brothers' forehead and brothers also put tika to their sisters wishing for prosperity, wealthy and healthy. 

Meanwhile, those brothers, who have not their own sisters or become unable to reach to their sisters for Bhai Tika used to visit Balgopaleshwar temple located in the middle of Ranipokhari in Kathmandu.
