Biratnagar, Nepal, August 26, 2021: Bhim Acharya has become the Chief Minister of Province 1. He has been administered oath of office and secrecy as Chief Minister amid a function on Thursday.
Following his appointment as Parliamentary party leader of the CPN UML, Province Chief Somraj Adhkari administered him oath of office and secrecy in the capacity of the leader of the largest party of the provincial assembly. Earlier on Thursday, parliamentary party meeting of the CPN UML decided to appoint him as Chief Minister.
Immediate past Chief Minister Sher Dhan Rai had resigned from the post to pave the way to elect him as the Chief Minister.
