Guwahati : An ally party legislator of the BJP-led Assam government accused that, the state government is failed to meet public aspirations.
 
Utpal Dutta, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) MLA representing Lakhimpur assembly constitution on Wednesday said that, the state government is facing huge fund crunch while BJP in power in both the centre and state.
 
“It is very interesting that, the state facing fund crisis while the BJP in both centre and state,” Utpal Dutta said.
 
The AGP MLA also said that, maximum departments of the state government have not completed development schemes in the state due to fund crisis.
 
“From Public Works Department to Water Resources, every department would not able to complete development schemes even few departments are yet to start maximum development schemes in this financial year,” the AGP legislator said.
 
“The BJP-led state government is failed to fulfill public aspirations in past 18 months. AGP is one of the partner of the government, but we are not getting as a partner respect,” Dutta said.

On the other hand, BJP’s Assam unit president Ranjit Kumar Das denied the fund crisis issue and said that, the centre has released adequate development fund to the state regularly.
 
“But, some departments of the state government had not submitted their utilization certificates,” Das said.
