Kathmandu, Nepal, December 23, 2019: A College going girl students of Pashupati Multiple Campus at Chabahil died after a bus hit her while crossing the road on Monday. Following the accident, the Chabahil and Sukedhara area remained tense after fellow students staged protest against of the accident.
21 year old Shristi Panta, who was a BBS fourth-year student at Pashupati Multiple Campus, breathed her last while receiving treatment at Om hospital. She was severely injured after the bus with registration number Ba 4 Kha 5920 which was operating along Sukedhara-Bhaktapur route hit Panta at around 5:30 while she was crossing the road.
Following the incident, vehicular movement came to a halt in the area as students torched the bus that hit Panta. Enraged students burnt even another bus with registration number Ba 4 Kha 5120 operating along the same route.
